Hi,
here on my TX and Treo 650 ptpChat2 (and 1 aswell) seems to be relatively slow. The MOTD scrolls slow across the screen and changes with the buddy list (e.g. a change of name or change of OP/deOP) are displayed with a great delay.
This is extremely annoying when trying to connect via GPRS. Here the speed drops significantly and I get a lot of timeouts sometimes I even can't connect.
As it doesn't occur with upIRC it can't be because of my internet connection.

I haven't put my finger on this problem completely except for that ptpChat 1 and 2 both process the IRC protocol much more complicatedly (if that's a word). I plan to eventually fine tune the way it processes things and see if I can't speed it up some.

Today I encountered the following things which I think are caused by this slowness:
- when trying to connect the connection often drops after 'No ident response; username prefixed with~' (not sure if this is caused because ptp is slow, however it doesn't occur with upIRC - here the connection continues after ~5 sec)
Sometimes the connection works the second try but not always

- when ptp2 successfully connected after one minute the connection closes with the error message: 'nickname in use'. I think this is caused because of Nickserv which doesn't get the password for the nick in time
