TraffiCam is an application that allows you to keep an eye on traffic on your commute by showing you the local traffic cameras available in your area. TraffiCam can also be used to monitor any webcams you have, provided that they run a webserver and supply ".jpg" images. Note: TraffiCam is currently being provided as a Thank You to anyone that donates $5 or more via paypal for my other two apps (GVoice and SMSCal). Current Features (Version 0.2): - Can define up to 36 distinct cameras.
- Can set the refresh rate for each camera individually.
- Allows you to define categories, so that only certain cameras are cycled through
- Allows you to auto-rotate through all selected cameras.
- Allows you to save an image currently on the screen.
- Can also auto-save images - so that each refresh also saves the image.
To Do: - Add other image format types.
- Add Video feeds.
Note that for webcams, a pretty good windows application is Yawcam, which allows you to save the images from your webcam at defined intervals. I plan to also use this page to provide a list of available cameras that work with TraffiCam.
